Home Checkout began operations in December 2003. The Home Checkout grocery delivery system, by which the company is currently doing business, was researched and developed by founder and owner Rob Vanek.
Rob has been an officer with a local police department for 16 years; serving the community the last four years as a Detective in the department’s Detective Bureau. The dedication and commitment to service and the community in Rob’s police career have been instrumental in the development of the Home Checkout business.
The principles on which Home Checkout is founded are evident in the attention to detail and the customer’s needs. Home Checkout is a professional service organization that is cost effectively meeting the needs of grocery delivery in the community.
Home Checkout is an S corporation based in the City of Akron within Summit County, Ohio. The company is currently offering its shopping and delivery service to Akron and the surrounding communities. Home Checkout’s unique blend of offerings include a professional call center, a Web site with ordering capabilities, uniformed delivery personnel, climate-controlled delivery vehicles, and a growing list of sponsor stores. These offerings have helped put Home Checkout on track to achieving its goal of creating the local infrastructure to bring Web-based grocery shopping and home delivery to the community.
